As an entertainment to the Divyang children at Chetana Child Development Centre, they were taken to Chili Pili Park on 25.03.2022 at Gandhinagar, Mangalore which is made exclusively for Divyang. The children enjoyed a lot playing at said garden for a hour long period.

“Anantha Soukhya” in association with Yenepoya Hospital, Deralakatte and Spoorthi Charitable Trust, Mangaluru conducted a free medical checkup camp on Memory, BP and Sugar test, ECG and consultation with doctor for Senior Citizens on 19-3-2022 from 9-30 a.m. onwards at Chetana School campus.

Dr. C V Raghuveer, Retired Vice Chancellor, Yenepoya University inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. Smt. Prabha Adhikari, Head of the Geriatric Department, Yenepoya Hospital and Trustee of Spoorthi Charitable Trust, Secretary of Seva Bharathi Shri H. Nagaraja Bhat and Treasurer Shri P Vinod Shenoy were present during the occasion. The medical team of Yenepoya Hospital, Deralakatte assisted in conducting the camp. Shri Umesh Shenoy, in charge of “Anantha Soukhya”, looked after the arrangements in the camp. Trustees, Volunteers and staff of Seva Bharathi along with the staff of Chetana School cooperated in conducting the camp. Totally 95 senior citizens participated and utilized the opportunity.

The annual  Sharada  pooja celebration was held in the school premises on 27th January 2022. The Trustees of Seva Bharathi Mr Vinod Shenoy and T Gajanana Pai  and trustee of Roman & Catherine Lobo Charity home Mr Ketan Chandrana were present during Pooja. The students of the school decorated the space with rangoli with Diya, sang  bhajans, chanted Shree Rama Raksha stotra  during the auspicious occasion. The pooja ended with mangalarathi and distribution of prasadam.

The 73rd republic day celebration was celebrated in the premises of Roman & Catherine Lobo Residential School for Visually Impaired on 26th January 2022. The chief guest of the day Dr Shibin Girish, Ophthalmologist of Prasad Netralaya, Mangaluru unfurled the National Flag. The Trustees of Seva Bharathi Mr Vinod Shenoy and T Gajanana Pai and the visiting consultant Dr Sudhindra were present during the occasion. The students and teachers along with all the participants, took part in the pledge and recitation of preamble of the constitution.

73rd Republic Day was celebrated on 26.01.2022 at Chetana Child Development Centre. The Headmistress of the school with 02 challenged children unfurled the National Flag. The National Anthem was sung collectively. Students sang patriotic songs and exhibited mass drill. The trustees, volunteers of Seva Bharathi and teaching/non-teaching staff, parents present during the occasion. Program ended with distributing sweets.

Seva Bharathi conducted 1st & 2nd dose Covid Vaccination camp at Adamya Chetana Day Care Centre, Ullal in association with Dakshina Kannada District Health Authorities. 1st dose camp was held on 28.05.2021, in which 76 Divyang people were vaccinated and in the 2nd dose camp held on 26.08.2021, in which 65 were vaccinated. The office bearers of the Dakshina Kannada unit of Karnataka State Association for Special Educators and Supporting Staff ® and the local volunteers assisted in smooth conducting of the camps. Refreshment/lunch served to covid warriors and all the beneficiaries of both the camps.
