The Bhoomi Pooja and Foundation Stone Laying ceremony for a mega project ‘Seva Chetana Residential Project’ was held at Madhava Vana, Montepadavu in Neringana Village, Bantwal Taluk on 21st November 2021

Deepavali was celebrated on 17.11.2021at Chetana Child Development Cetnre in coordination with GSB Women Club, Mangaluru.

Smt. Sumathi V Shenoy, President, Seva Bharathi ® and Smt. Vimala Kamath, President, G.S.B Women Club, Mangaluru inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp with children. Bhajans and dance performed collectively around the diyas, followed by Shree Lakshmi pooja. As a entertainment part, crackers were burnt where children enjoyed a lot. The function ended with distribution of sweets.

Children day celebration was held on 15.11.2021 at Adamya Chetana Day Care Centre, Ullal. All the children happily participated in Indoor and outdoor games arranged. A small function was arranged by lighting Deepam. Children enjoyed singing and dancing. Prizes distributed to the winners/participants. The Centre in-charge spoke on the importance of the day. The function ended with distribution of sweets.

Seva Bharathi organised a program on 10.11.2021 at the premises of Chetana Child Development Centre to create awareness for having the Legal Guardianship, Niramaya Health Insurance Scheme and UDID card for Divyang and also distribution of said certificates/cards to them. Shri S Angara Hon. Minister for Fisheries, Ports and Inland Transport, Govt. of Karnataka and also the in charge Minister for Dakshina Kannada District presided over the function. Distributing 41 Certificates/Cards to the beneficiaries, in his address quoting some back incidences he witnessed in the lives of Divyang, he highly appreciated the yeoman services of Seva Bharathi for Divyang Community. He also visited to various service units in the main building of Seva Bharathi and inaugurated two equipments ‘Leg Press Machine’ donated by Smt. & Shri Shantharam Pai, Mangaluru for physiotherapy treatment and ‘Cutting Machine’ by Shri Ekkar Suresh Nayak, Mangaluru for utilising at Vocational Training Centre.

In the beginning Shri H Nagaraj Bhat Hon. Secretary, introducing Seva Bharathi service area, welcomed the guests. Shri Ganesh Pai and Shri Ganaraja Y enlightened on the benefits of having legal guardian for identified divyang category, Niramaya Health Insurance Scheme and possessing UDID cards. They also explained the process to applying/getting these certificates/cards.

Shri Prakash Pai proposed vote of thanks. Smt. Sumathi V Shenoy, President, Seva Bharati along with other Trustees, Seva Bharathi Volunteers, Teaching and Non teaching staff were present in the occasion.

Adamya Chetana Day Care Centre for Divyang at Ullal re-opened on 09.11.2021, after a long gap due to Corona pandemic. The school opening ceremony was arranged in a grand way by decorating the school. Divyang Children were welcomed in a traditional way by performing Arati, putting kunkum on the forehead of Divyang. Teachers welcomed the children by giving flowers to each, made by the staff using colour papers.

Saplings of different flowers and fruits were planted in and around the school premises by Divyang. Normal activities of the day care centre were carried out followed by a lunch by the management.

All the teachers and office staff of Adamya Chetana Day Care Centre are Covid vaccinated and the centre is taking all covid precautions and safety measures as per the guidelines issued by the government from time to time.

The Servam Safety (P) Ltd., Chennai, under its CSR provisions, donated latest 04 Desktops and a Laptop for upgrading the office systems in the units of Seva Bharathi. On behalf of Sarvam Safety (P) Ltd., Smt. Saraswathi M Shetty and Smt. Vinatha B Kajava handed over the systems to Seva Bharathi on 09.11.2021 in a function held at Seva Bharathi building. The guests visited the activities of Chetana Child Development Centre, had a conversation with Divyang Children. They highly appreciated the services to Divyang children being extended by Seva Bharathi in different spheres. Shri H Nagaraj Bhat, Hon. Secretary conveyed thanks to the donors.

Smt. Varsha Shenoy in memory of her husband late U Sudhir Shenoy, Mangaluru and Smt. Seema, Arekere, Micro Layout, Bangalore also donated Desktops to Seva Bharathi for its office purposes.
