Onam celebration

Onam, the popular festival of Kerala was celebrated at Chetana Child Development Centre on 24th August 2021. The rangoli of flowers “Pookalam” designed by the teachers of the school was the main attraction. Onam songs were sung by the teachers. The dance in the traditional attire by the staff was beautiful to watch. All the teachers and non- teaching staff and volunteers participated in the function enthusiastically. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.

Independence Day Celebration at Adamya Chetana

The Adamya Chetana Day Care Centre celebrated Independence day and Raksha Bandhan on 15.08.2019 combined with Lions Club Chota Mangaluru, Vidyaranya Kalavrinda, Ullala and Auto Union, Ullala at the premises of the school. After hoisting the National Flag and collectively singing the National Anthem. The Lions Club conducted singing, dancing, fancy dress competitions for Diyang. All the participants mutually tied “Rakhi” with one another. All the Divyang were distributed with sweet packets provided by Auto Union so that they could celebrate the day with their family members. The heads of host organizations spoke on the occasion. The function ended with lunch provided by Lions Club Chota Mangaluru and sweet distributed by Vidyaranya Kalavrinda, Ullala. The centre in charge proposed vote of thanks and congratulated all the 03 organisations for coming forward to share happiness with Divyang.

Independence Day Celebration

The Chetana Child Development Centre celebrated the Platinum Jubilee year of Indian Independence on 15.08.2021 at the premises of the school. Shri H Nagaraj Bhat, Hon. Secretary of Seva Bharathi ® Mangalore hoisted the National Flag. The Trustees of Seva Bharathi ®, Headmistress of the school, teachers, volunteers and staff were present during the occasion. The program concluded with distribution of sweets.

Seva Bharathi in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada District, Lions & Leo Club, Nethravathi and Lions Club, Kudla conducted it’s 188th Blood donation camp on 13.06.2021 at Narayanaguru Seva Mandir, Kuluru and collected 50 units of blood for Indian Red Cross Society.

Seva Bharathi in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada District and Keshava Smrithi Samvardhana Samithi, Prathapa Nagara, Mannagudda, Mangaluru conducted it’s 189th Blood donation camp on 15.08.2021 at Sanghanikethana, Mangaluru and collected 60 units of blood for Indian Red Cross Society.

1st dose Covid Vaccination camp

1st dose Covid Vaccination camp was conducted in association with Dakshina Kannada District Health Authorities at Chetana Child Development Centre on 27th May 2021. Smt. Yamuna D, District Disabled Welfare Officer, Government of Karnataka, Department of Welfare of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens, Dakshina Kannada District, Mangaluru inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, she stressed the need of vaccinating everybody in the fight against covid disease and appreciated the initiative taken by Seva Bharathi ® coming forward to support the move. The camp was meant for vaccinating the Divyang children also with their parents. About 128 Divyang/parents got vaccinated in the camp. Refreshment served to all in the camp.

The Leo Club and Lions Club, Mangaluru jointly distributed 03 new Walkers to Seva Bharathi on 18.01.2021 at the office of Seva Bharathi for providing to the needy, whenever required, under “Medical Assistive Devices Bank”, one of the services of Seva Bharathi to the society.
